Ricardo Marsh brings 13 years of professional experience and skill in both domestic and international basketball. At 6’8” this solid forward has the versatility to play three positions; both forward positions with the ability to slide to the center.
This North Carolina native has earned several titles throughout his extensive career. Ricardo finished high school as the 1st player in North Carolina history to win MVP honor in the NC vs. SC All Star Game and the NC East vs. West game in the same year, while his time as an Old Dominion University Monarch yielded the titles of 20th All Time Scoring, 15th All Time Rebounding and 2003 Male Athlete of the Year.
Professionally, Ricardo enjoyed a strong 13 year career having played in the countries of Turkey, Japan, Israel, Latvia, Ukraine, Serbia and Dubai, as well as a stint in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
Ricardo Marsh has served as a personal basketball trainer for my son Joseph over the past 2 years. Ricardo has been very successful in the coaching of my son in the fundamentals of basketball to greatly improve his skills and abilities. Ricardo's coaching interaction has also allowed him to mentor and encourage my son to always strive to do his best at all times, whether on the basketball court, in the classroom or life in general. Having someone in my son's life that he can look up to as a true role model in this day and age is invaluable.
Our family had the opportunity to meet Ricardo a little over a year ago. Since then, he has worked with our son honing his basketball skills, strength and speed. As a parent, I see more than this. Ricardo has been a great mentor to our son helping to build his confidence and leadership, both on and off the court. We are thankful there are terrific people like Ricardo around our son to help guide him on his basketball and college journey.
I wanted a trainer who would not only develop my sons basketball skills, but also mentor him to be the best person he can be on and off the court. Ricardo, a basketball player himself; translates his experiences in basketball and life, to help my son learn how to develop and grow into a respectful student athlete. I'm grateful my son has the opportunity to work with Ricardo and I would recommend him to anyone.
